Star Image

The concept of ‘Star theory’ was introduced by Richard Dyer. He discussed how 'stars' are made, maintained, and consumed in popular culture. Musicians are produced in a way that keeps them in the public eye, whether it's for good or bad, in order to make money. According to Dyers, some artists become trend-setters by inspiring audience members to copy their dress and haircuts. As a result, the artists release merchandise since their star status causes their image to be utilized to advertise things. Fans frequently idolize celebrities' behaviors, and if they identify with a quality or viewpoint of the celebrity, they could try to imitate the celebrity's behavior.
