The Whale

The movie starts with as bus stopping on a single laned road and a passenger gets off. The surrounding landscape is very barren with no signs of civilization around it other than the single road. the scene is set in a northern area with mountains shown in the background. This shows that the film is set at a distant place.

The scene then cuts to an online university class where the instructor's camera is off. A student is shown asking the question as to why the instructor's camera is off to which he replies with, "believe me, you are not missing much." This shows that the person is not confident about his appearance and is hesitant to showing himself.

The camera slowly zooms into the instructor's screen. This grabs the viewer's attention as it makes the viewer wonder what the person on the other side is like.
